SULTANA’S PADDLING PROGRAMS

For information on canoe and kayak Summer Programs, visit: http://www.sultanaprojects.org/summerprograms/index.htm

Sultana Projects offers on-the-water educational programs for school groups, adult groups, and the general public using mobile fleets of canoes and kayaks. These programs are a great way to explore the shallow creeks, streams, and rivers that flow to our nation’s largest estuary.  During a typical voyage, participants explore scenic, undeveloped portions of one of the Bay’s tidal tributaries while learning about the flora and fauna that make the region so unique.

Canoe and kayak programs take place on the National Park Service’s Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail and were established with the support of the National Park Service’s Chesapeake Bay Gateways office. While the majority of Sultana Projects’ canoe and kayak trips are conducted on the tidal tributaries of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, programs can be arranged on virtually any body of water in the Chesapeake region.
